Bio

Amin Khodaei is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Denver, which he joined in 2013. He was formerly a senior research associate with Robert W. Galvin Center for Electricity Innovation and a research assistant professor at University of Houston.

He also has been an active member of the professional society since 2008. He has served on editorial boards of multiple IEEE Transactions and has chaired the technical committee of the 2018 IEEE PES Transmission and Distribution Conference and Exhibition in Denver, attracting more than 12000 attendees from over 70 countries. Amin served as the Chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Denver from 2017 to 2020. In this capacity, he doubled the department’s undergraduate enrollment, launched a professional corporate Masters Degree program in Systems Engineering (with specializations in System and Space) in collaboration with Lockheed-Martin, initiated multiple industry relationships, and led the efforts in modernizing ECE curriculum.

Amin earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tehran, a Master of Science degree from Sharif University of Technology, and a PhD from Illinois Institute of Technology, all in Electrical Engineering.
