The electric power grid is undergoing an unprecedented transformation as a result of the growing proliferation of distributed energy resources, increased reliance on variable renewable generation, emergence of new types of loads such as electric vehicles, and more proactive customers. These sweeping changes are heightening efforts to build the Grid of the Future that is able to provide more resilient, reliable, secure, efficient and clean electricity to 21st-century customers.

Our research in KLab focuses on envisioning the grid of the future and architecting novel models on how emerging technologies can be leveraged to achieve this goal.
